After experiencing many famous cafes in Da Lat, today I will share with everyone Top 10 must-visit cafes based on my actual experience.

This list is not only based on beautiful views, but also evaluates the space, coffee quality, level of relaxation and the feeling that each cafe brings.

Position 10 – Highlands Coffee Lake Shore Park!

If you're a pure coffee lover and enjoy overlooking the lake, you must save this location!

Just buy a Highlands Coffee and walk a few steps to Lake Shore Park, choose a comfortable stone bench...

Cool breeze, dreamy Xuan Huong Lake view, fresh air... That alone is enough for an extremely chill coffee session.

Oh, don't leave so soon! This area has many check-in spots with quintessential Da Lat charm, every angle looks beautiful.

Position 9 – Totoro's House, a cafe like stepping out of a Ghibli film!

Do you believe that in the middle of Da Lat there's a place that makes you feel like you're wandering into a secret forest?

Totoro's House isn't very spacious, but the moment you step in, you're surrounded by lots of greenery, natural light and extremely delicate decor corners.

Every angle photographs beautifully! Just raise your camera and you'll instantly have photos with the vibe of an old forest, peaceful and full of poetry.

The interesting thing is the cafe isn't overly crowded. Partly because the entrance is a bit hard to find, parking is quite inconvenient, you have to leave your vehicle and walk a bit to get there.

But who knows, that might be exactly what helps the cafe maintain its rare tranquility, very suitable for reading, chatting or simply escaping the noise.

If you're looking for a "hidden" cafe with fresh green space and extremely photogenic, then Totoro's House definitely deserves a spot on your list.

Position 8 – Tale of Dreams!

This is perhaps the cafe I regret most in this list.

I must admit, the space here is very beautiful. View overlooking lush pine hills, sitting in cool nature, feeling like you're merging into a Da Lat forest. Every angle is very chill and photographs extremely well.

The space alone is enough to make me want to return many more times.

But what disappointed me a bit is the drink prices are quite high compared to many other famous cafes in Da Lat, while the coffee quality didn't meet my expectations. Personally I felt the flavor wasn't really strong and didn't suit my taste, so I almost didn't finish my cup.

Really regrettable... because such a beautiful space deserves a better cup of coffee.

If the cafe improves its coffee quality in the future, especially offering fresh roasted pure coffee, this will definitely become one of my frequent stops every time I visit Da Lat.

Position 7 – Horizon Coffee Da Lat!

If you're looking for a cafe with genuine Da Lat pine hill views, then Horizon Coffee is definitely a name you can't miss.

Sitting here, before you are lush pine hills, cool year-round air, just taking a breath is enough to feel relaxed. The cafe is beautifully designed with many spacious seating areas and very suitable for sightseeing or photography.

What I like is besides coffee, the cafe also has a restaurant area. I've eaten here twice because the space is truly very comfortable.

However, both times I visited the cafe was quite quiet. Perhaps that's why the food and service quality didn't leave much of an impression on me.

But I believe if the cafe gets more customers and invests more in food quality and service, Horizon can definitely become one of the most worthwhile experiences in Da Lat.

As for the space and pine hill view, I still rate it very highly.

Position 6 – Happy Hill Coffee!

This is perhaps the most debated cafe in my list.

Recently, Happy Hill became extremely famous thanks to an internet phenomenon often mentioned by people. Personally I'm not very interested in that, but I must admit it's the reason the cafe is always very crowded.

Actually I knew about Happy Hill many years ago, when the cafe was still quite peaceful. What I like most here is the wide lake view, cool air and very beautiful flower gardens.

However, if you come just to photograph flowers, remember to choose the right season. There are times when flowers bloom brilliantly, but there are also seasons with almost no flowers so the experience will be quite different.

As for drinks, I find them at an average level. Since the cafe operates on a pay-at-gate basis including drinks, I don't expect too much from coffee quality.

The most regrettable point is the restroom. In my previous visits, this area wasn't very clean and had odor issues, while the cafe had very heavy traffic.

However, my last visit was over a year ago, so it's very possible the cafe has improved these issues.

Despite still having a few unsatisfactory points, I still think Happy Hill is worth experiencing at least once, especially if you want to see the lake view and capture beautiful Da Lat photos.

Position 5 – Brick Since 1988!

If you want to find a truly quiet cafe to enjoy Da Lat's atmosphere, then Brick Since 1988 is a name I'd love to introduce.

The cafe is located in the Ta Nung area, some distance from downtown Da Lat, but in exchange you get extremely spacious, airy and peaceful space. No more traffic noise or crowds, just wind sounds and a lush green landscape.

What I rate very highly is the coffee here is sold like a proper cafe menu, not bundled with an entrance ticket. Therefore, drink quality is more carefully prepared and very suits those who like pure coffee.

The cafe's architecture is also a major plus. The design has a very unique style, both rustic and modern, every corner can become a beautiful photo. Especially, the cafe has a spacious parking area so driving or riding a motorbike is very comfortable.

One rather regrettable thing is the cafe's location. Brick Since 1988 is near many famous tourist attractions like Mongo Land or Dapa Hill. These places have both cafes and many entertainment activities, zoos and photo areas, so most tourists usually choose to visit those and accidentally overlook Brick.

In my opinion, if you don't really like crowded places and just want to find a beautiful, quiet cafe to relax and enjoy a good coffee, then Brick Since 1988 is definitely a very worthwhile choice.

Position 4 – Words of Wind!

If you ask me where one of the most beautiful sunset viewing spots in Da Lat is, Words of Wind would definitely be on that list.

The cafe is located in Xom Leo area – famous for cafes and grilled food restaurants with extremely beautiful sunset hunting views. Just arrive at the right time and you'll see the sky transform from blue to orange to purple, a truly memorable sight.

What I like about Words of Wind is the creatively designed small scenes. Each corner has its own character, both allowing relaxation and making it easy to capture beautiful photos.

Drinks here are sold with an entrance ticket so I don't rate the coffee quality too highly. However, the cafe's strength is always the space and scenery rather than the drinks.

Previously the cafe also had a restaurant area serving grilled items, very suitable for having dinner while watching the sunset. But on my most recent visit, I found the restaurant area had closed. I'm not sure if the cafe has reopened it.

I visited about two years ago, when the cafe was always very crowded. Since the restaurant closed I haven't had a chance to return.

Still, if you're looking for a spot to catch the sunset and take beautiful photos in Da Lat, Words of Wind is still very much worth experiencing.

Position 3 – New Light Coffee Da Lat!

This is one of the cafes I most like to return to every time I visit Da Lat.

Although located quite close to downtown, stepping into the cafe feels like a completely different space. Spacious, airy and open to a landscape of endless green pine hills, creating a very peaceful feeling.

What I like most about New Light is you don't need to buy an entrance ticket. Just order what you like and pay by bill like a normal cafe. The drinks are decent, while I rate the breakfast items very delicious and the prices are reasonable for Da Lat standards.

The cafe is invested with many beautiful check-in spots, from outdoor areas to spots overlooking the pine forest. Whether you come to take photos or just relax, this place is definitely worth experiencing.

But what I remember most is actually not the drinks or those photogenic spots...

But the feeling of sitting very peacefully, sipping a cup of coffee, watching pine trees sway in the breeze and letting time pass very slowly. That's a feeling very hard to find elsewhere.

If you want to find a cafe that's both beautiful and quiet, has delicious breakfast and doesn't require an entrance ticket, then New Light Coffee is definitely a choice not to miss.

Position 2 – Ancient Village Dream!

This is one of the newer cafes in Da Lat that impressed me from my very first visit.

What's most attractive is the wide garden with lush green pine hill view. The air here is very cool, peaceful and has the true Da Lat essence that I always seek.

The cafe is invested with many beautiful check-in spots. From small scenes in the garden to spots looking directly at the pine hills, just raising your camera gets extremely impressive photos.

I've sat here quite a while just to admire the pine forest, listen to the wind and enjoy the slow feeling. If you like cafes close to nature you'll definitely love this place.

However, one thing I'm a bit concerned about is the entrance road is quite narrow, only fitting one lane. If you meet an oncoming vehicle, passing each other will be a bit difficult, especially on weekends or holidays when there are more customers.

Still, the experience Ancient Village Dream provides is definitely worthwhile. For me, this is one of the cafes with the most beautiful space for admiring pine hills and enjoying Da Lat's tranquility.

🎉 Position 1 – Me Linh Coffee Garden!

Finally, this is also the cafe topping my ranking!

Many of you have probably heard of Me Linh Coffee. About 3 years ago, this was one of the most famous check-in spots in Da Lat. Recently, as many new cafes appeared, customers have dispersed quite a bit, but Me Linh's appeal remains strong.

What makes me love this place is the extremely spacious open space overlooking the majestic mountain landscape characteristic of the Central Highlands. Just finding a seat, ordering a coffee and watching the sky is enough to let the whole afternoon pass gently.

The cafe also has many famous check-in spots like the rainbow bridge, small scenes with strong Central Highlands style and countless beautiful backgrounds for photos. Even after many years, this is still one of the cafes with the most impressive space to me.

As for coffee, I'd rate it at a decent level, but not really outstanding if compared to cafes specializing in fresh roasted pure coffee. But for me, when visiting Me Linh, what's valuable isn't the coffee...

...but the feeling of sitting in nature, breathing fresh air, watching endless green hills and leaving all worries behind.

If you visit Da Lat for the first time and only have time to visit one scenic cafe, Me Linh Coffee Garden is still the name I'd prioritize recommending.
