🌿 Detailed Review of Nhà Của ToToRo Café (Khu Vườn Mơ – Da Lat)
I’ve visited the café three times, and each time it gave me a very special, peaceful, and relaxing feeling. This is truly one of my favorite cafés in Da Lat.
Cơm Bếp Củi used to be one of my favorite rice restaurants in Đà Lạt. Up to now, I’ve eaten here more than five times – enough to notice the restaurant’s clear changes over time.
The restaurant is tucked away in a small alley, with a rustic and cozy vibe that reminds you of family meals back in the day. Simple wooden furniture, a wood-fired kitchen with smoke rising, soft background music, and warm yellow lighting – all together create a homely and comforting feeling, especially in Da Lat’s chilly weather.
The first time I visited, I was genuinely impressed. The restaurant serves homestyle Vietnamese dishes such as:
The white rice is cooked on a wood stove, making it aromatic and sticky. Each set meal costs 55,000 VND, which is quite reasonable.
However, in my recent visits, I noticed a decline in food quality. On days when the place isn’t crowded, the portions are smaller and the taste not as good as before. The flavors are less rich, and some dishes feel hastily prepared.
What I’m most dissatisfied with is the service during busy times or when ordering extra side dishes. I’ve ordered a fried egg with minced pork before, but had to wait a long time because the kitchen prioritized main dishes for other tables first. As a result, by the time the side dish arrived, my family had already finished their meal. This happened twice, which was quite disappointing.
Additionally, parking is a downside – the opposite side of the street is a no-parking zone, which can be inconvenient for those driving or unfamiliar with the area.
If it’s your first time visiting, you’ll likely be impressed by the cozy space and homestyle meals. But if you've been a few times, you may start to notice inconsistencies in food quality and service.
I hope the restaurant will soon improve to retain loyal customers like me – those who simply want a good, hearty, and comforting meal.

If you’re looking for a place that has “a bit of everything” right in the heart of Da Lat’s mountains and nature, then LangBiang Land is definitely a spot you shouldn’t miss. Although it’s a newly opened tourist destination, it’s incredibly popular – and based on my experience (I’ve been there three times), I was satisfied every single time.
Đà Lạt always finds a way to bring me back—not just for its pleasant climate, but also for its ever-refreshing destinations. One of those is Dapa Hill, a tourist spot that once went viral for its Northwestern Vietnam-inspired style nestled in the heart of the Central Highlands. I’ve visited a few times—from its bustling early days to the quieter recent visits—and here are my honest thoughts after those trips.
