🌿 Review of Heart Island Tuyen Lam Lake (Happy Hill Coffee Da Lat)

🏞 Introduction

Heart Island, also known as Happy Hill Coffee, is one of the most popular cafés and check-in spots around Tuyen Lam Lake in Da Lat. With its lakeside location, the place is famous for its romantic atmosphere, numerous photo opportunities, and relaxing vibe surrounded by nature.

📍 Location

Located right by Tuyen Lam Lake, about 7km from the city center. From downtown, you can head towards Truc Lam Zen Monastery and then follow the road along the lake. Its lakeside position is a big plus, offering fresh air and a pleasant environment.

🌸 Personal Experience

I visited the café on the morning of September 14, 2025. Since several companies were organizing outings for their employees that day, the café was very crowded, and I had to squeeze in quite a bit before finding a seat.

The scenery was indeed beautiful and refreshing. However, during my visit, there weren’t many flowers blooming yet, so the atmosphere wasn’t as vibrant as in the promotional photos.

The biggest downside I encountered was the toilet facilities: they were smelly and the water system was not working, which made the experience very unpleasant. I almost felt suffocated while using it, and I noticed a long queue in front of the women’s restroom. This is something the café urgently needs to improve.

• Main menu: coffee, juices, smoothies.
• Price range: 40,000 – 70,000 VND.
• Quality: decent, good enough to enjoy while taking in the scenery.

• Entrance fee: about 50,000 VND/person (check-in, sightseeing, not including drinks).
• If you order drinks, part of the entrance fee is deducted.
• Private parking available for guests.

✅ Pros

• Lakeside location with fresh air and open space.
• Romantic view of Tuyen Lam Lake, with the heart-shaped island and many photo spots.
• Great for friends or couples to take memorable pictures.

❌ Cons

• Very crowded during peak times, hard to find seats.
• Flowers are not always in bloom as in the photos.
• Toilets are smelly, lack water, and not adequate for large crowds.

🌟 Overall Evaluation

Happy Hill Coffee (Heart Island Tuyen Lam Lake) is still an attractive destination thanks to its romantic lakeside scenery and cool atmosphere. However, my experience this time wasn’t perfect because of the crowd and poor restroom facilities.

👉 If you’re looking for beautiful photos and a refreshing lakeside vibe, this is a place worth visiting. But it’s best to come on weekdays to avoid the crowd, and hopefully, the café will soon improve its restroom facilities for a better overall experience.
